Cell Bonuses

Complete a row or column and claim a strategic bonus. Each row and column can only be claimed once per player.

Triggering a Bonus

A player triggers a cell bonus when they complete a full row or column of the main zone with cards flipped their way. Block cards count toward this. Covered cards do not.

There are 5 rows (A through E) and 5 columns (1 through 5) in the main zone, for a total of 10 possible bonus claims per player across the game.

Completing row C — all 5 cells flipped your way — triggers a bonus claim.

Claiming the Bonus

When a bonus is triggered, the player places one of their markers on that row or column. That marker indicates the bonus has been claimed and cannot be claimed again, even if the row/column changes ownership later.

Claims are personal: your claim on a row or column has no effect on your opponent's ability to earn their own bonus from the same row or column. Both players can claim the same row independently.

Declaring Your Action

When claiming a bonus, you must declare which action you intend to take before executing it. You cannot look at the top card of your deck and then decide whether to draw it, send it to the graveyard, or take the credits. The declaration locks in the choice.

Bonus Options

When claiming a bonus, you choose one of the following six options:

  • Discard a card from your hand to the graveyard.
  • Draw a card from your deck.
  • Shuffle your deck.
  • Look at the top card of your deck without drawing it — preview what's coming without committing.
  • Send the top card of your deck to the graveyard.
  • Gain points: reveal the top card of your deck, credit yourself its cost, then place it on the bottom of your deck.

Note: The "gain points" option can be a significant credit boost if you have expensive cards in your deck. The card goes to the bottom — not the graveyard — so it stays in play. Combined with a strong board position, this can snowball your resource advantage considerably.
