Remove

A non-elemental arrow ability. Destroys any monster in the arrow direction instantly, regardless of DEF.

Remove

Non-elemental

Remove is not tied to a specific element. Any card can carry this arrow ability. See Arrows for how ability arrows work.

How it Works

When you trigger a Remove ability arrow, the monster on the target cell is immediately destroyed and sent to the deck owner's graveyard, regardless of how much DEF it has. There is no ATK comparison, no conflict — the card simply ceases to exist on the grid.

Remove works on both active (face-up) and covered (face-down) monsters, including covered cards played normally from hand.

Remove bypasses DEF entirely — works on active and covered monsters alike.
Remove bypasses DEF entirely — works on active and covered monsters alike.

Rules

  • Targets a monster card (active or covered) in the arrow direction. The target is destroyed and sent to the deck owner's graveyard, regardless of its DEF value.
  • You may target any monster — your own or your opponent's. There are no ownership restrictions.
  • Remove can destroy covered cards, including standard covered cards. It is one of the three ways to destroy a Growth-placed covered card.
  • Remove cannot target Block cards. Only monsters.
  • The destroyed card goes to the graveyard and can potentially be retrieved by Resurrection.
  • Remove is used during an ability phase. It is not a conflict and does not interact with the conflict resolution sequence.

Interactions

Removing covered cards

A covered card has no declared stats when face-down, so DEF is irrelevant. Remove destroys it directly. This applies to both standard covered cards and Growth-placed covered cards.

Graveyard availability

Cards removed by Remove go to the deck owner's graveyard, meaning they remain available for that player's Resurrection arrows. If you want to permanently eliminate a card, use Shockwave to push it off the out zone instead.
