Shockwave

The Earth element ability. Push a card one cell in the arrow direction. The landing cell card is destroyed.

Shockwave

Earth Element

Only Earth cards can carry Shockwave arrows. See Elements for the full element overview.

How it Works

When you trigger a Shockwave ability arrow, you push the card on the target cell one cell further in the arrow's direction. If anything occupies the landing cell, it is destroyed. If the pushed card was already in the out zone, it is removed from the game entirely.

Shockwave push: the moved card destroys what is in the landing cell (left). Pushing off the out zone removes the card permanently (right).

Rules

  • The card on the target cell is pushed one cell in the arrow's direction. This includes active monsters, covered cards, and Growth-placed covered cards.
  • Any card already on the landing cell is destroyed and sent to the graveyard — regardless of player, type, or DEF.
  • If the pushed card was in the out zone and the push moves it one further step out, it is permanently removed from the game. It cannot be retrieved by Resurrection.
  • You can push your own cards with Shockwave.
  • Shockwave can push covered cards (both standard and Growth-placed). Growth-placed cards are protected from direct destruction but not from being pushed.

Interactions

Landing cell destruction

Destruction of the landing cell card is unconditional — it ignores DEF, ownership, and card type. A Growth-placed card on the landing cell is destroyed by this rule.

Out zone push

A card pushed from the main zone into the out zone is not removed — only a card already in the out zone pushed one step further is removed. Two consecutive Shockwaves can achieve permanent removal from a main zone start.

Testing
Under evaluation: whether Shockwave can also push Block cards. The design intent is that Earth, as a powerful clearing element, may be able to move even the "immovable" — but this is not confirmed for current rules.
